There’s nothing I love more than sitting down with my latest piece of client fiction for a good editing session. I specialise in literary, contemporary fiction, particularly works that illuminate the domestic.
I’m also on Ambit‘s board of editors. It’s lovely to share thoughts on Ambit‘s submissions and craft each issue with the magazine’s editorial team. And, last year, I took my place on the judging panel for Ambit‘s 2021 short-fiction competition.
My own fiction and poetry have appeared in a variety of anthologies, magazines, and literary journals. In July 2022, I was longlisted for the Bristol Short Story Prize. And in December 2020, I was delighted to receive a Hammond House International Literary Prize.
I’m also a Professional Member of the Chartered Institute of Editing and Proofreading (CIEP), which sets the standards for editorial practice in the UK.
